When it comes to adult movies, men are valued more for their ability to get -- and keep -- it up than for their looks. At one time potbellies, matted body hair and surly attitudes were the norm, but today's actors have as much going on above the belt as they do below. Here are our favorites.
Name: John Holmes
Title: Godfather of Porn
Vitals: The first male adult star to rise to infamy in the 1970's, possibly the man that Dirk Diggler's Boogie Nights character was based on. Later became a well-respected adult director.
Claim to Fame: The most famous schlong in the history of adult film -- often imitated (and cast in rubber, silicone and plaster), but never truly replicated.
Downside: Died of AIDS in 1998; one more reason there should be more condom use in adult videos.
