The adul
t world loves porn-icon Jenna Jameson. When this curvaceous, innocent-looking blonde comes anywhere near an adult film it will bring twice as much as any other title.
Jenna, is the overachiever of the porn world. Porn star supreme, actor, producer, activist, entrepreneur (ClubJenna), not to mention author of a highly entertaining, best-selling autobiography on the market right now called, How to make love like a Porn Star. Whew!
So, why is Jenna so popular? The simple answer is because she is very good at what she does. The first thing she does well is the art of presenting sex on camera. She does it with confidence and with a touch of abandon so crucial to the authentic portrayal of pleasure on the screen. The second thing she can add to her long list of abilities is her acting. The best example for this unusual ability for a porn star can be seen in her performance in the winner of Best Film in 2005 Jenna Jameson is the Masseuse.
Jenna Jameson is the Masseuse – is a seamless remake of the 1990 Best Video of the same name (without the Jenna Jameson part). The original version raised eyebrows at the time for veering away from traditional adult film-making and, instead, featuring a story line that carried on for 45 minutes, before launching into explicit intercourse. Paul Thomas, the director of both, remakes his own film by using the same technique he used in the original only this time he used his secret weapon, Jenna.
The story focuses on Jim (Jenna’s husband/business partner in real life), a lonely, introverted, obsessive-compulsive virgin intrigued by Barbara (Jenna), a pretty blond masseuse at an up-scale massage clinic. The film follows Jim’s desire for this woman who is unattainable, preferring an “ideal” over a real life available and interested woman who works in cubicle nearby his.
Jenna earned her best actress award for all the right reasons. In the Masseuse, she shows subtle internal conflict of caring for a client (Jim) while trying to keep an emotional distance. Yet lets her emotional guard down during sex-scene between herself and her real life hubby that won them Best Couple’s Scene.
Director Paul Thomas, known for capturing authentic female pleasure on the screen, steers away from the boring protocol of acts found in most adult films and, instead switches up the scenes with some very hot power play. Highly erotic, and great for men and women alike, this is a real winner.
