G-Ki Review:A new vibrator by Je Joue

G-Ki Vibrator Review

When I first was approached to review G-Ki I just loved the concept of it. G-Ki is made by Je Joue (I Play), a new company specializing in high-end vibrators.

Their first vibrator was called Sasi and it had something special -- it ‘learned’! You hit a button when you like what it does, and it 'remembers'. The more you hit the button, the more it logs that you like that type of vibration. When I first heard that Je Joue was releasing its second vibrator I jumped at the chance to review it.

Je Joue took quite another route from Sasi, this time, the G-Ki tackles the G-Spot. While it does not learn, the endearing selling point is its 'adjustable" g-spot head. As sexologists, we look for adjustable sex toys, since women vary so distinctly in size and shape. This is particularly true, when it comes the elusive G-Spot. Because it is located a couple of inches INSIDE the vagina the G-Spot is very difficult (if not impossible) to find or even see.

Most women find it exclusively through touch.  An adjustable head is what is desperately needed in the G-Spot-toy category.  Variability is a key asset when one woman's G-Spot lies exactly 1.5 inches inside, and another woman's g-spot is more diffuse and lies at 2.5 inches. Experimentation is key, when you are looking for the G-Spot.

G-Ki had everything necessary to accomodate just about any woman's individual G-Spot.  Now we needed to see if it worked.

First Impressions:

Packaging: Part of the G-Ki's charm is its elegant and simple packaging. The quality box is all black with a satin ribbon to give it a very welcome, feminine touch.

The Look: I loved the sinuous curves of the G-Ki. The handle end (clitoral stimulator) fits comfortably into the palm of the hand.

The Feel: The material (high grade silicone) feels silky to the touch. While smooth and sensual, lubricant (either natural or from a bottle) is most likely needed for this type of silicone finish.

The Size: G-Ki is smaller than it looks in the pictures. This is a bit of a relief as some vibrators, claiming to be g-spot vibrators, emphasize size or shape -- as if 'quantity' (larger size) will beat out 'quality’ (shape).

The Special Feature: It takes a little fiddling to figure out just how to adjust the 'hook' shape of the g-spot head. There are two buttons -- one on the tip and one a few inches below it -- that allow you to change the angle of the curve. Once you figure out how this works it becomes easy to see just how much range of curve it has.

Using G-Ki:

The Vibration: The vibration has 5 modes -- each stronger than the last. There is an option for pulsation (a favorite of mine) and escalation, a relief as straight vibration can cause the hand and other parts to go numb.

The vibration is felt at equal strength all along G-Ki, from the curved g-spot head to the handle end.  The handle end is the designed to curve to hit the clitoris as the G-Spot is being stimulated.

The Effectiveness: It has to come to down to the bottom line -- did it produce the result it was designed to have, which is G-Spot arousal and eventual orgasm. Yes! After only 3 minutes of fiddling, I had found the spot I was looking for.  I positioned the handle over my clitoris and had a mind-blowing orgasm.

In General:

I was impressed with how the vibrator can adjust to find a g-spot. It has smooth contours and an elegant design that is built to specifically explore this whole area of the body. It is not limited to the G-Spot however. While my G-Spot is sensitive and loves to be stimulated, it will never top the immense pleasure I get from my clitoris and labia.

I was happy to see that the G-Ki worked just as well on those two areas as it did on my G-spot. In general, I am going to give the G-Ki two thumbs up (and a curved finger) to this innovative vibrator.

Because I am a strong advocate of green technology in sex toys I have to bump fist/high-five to the makers of Je Joue for promoting rechargeable energy and taking the batteries out of landfills. This company is also something to be admired in that they look to real women and real situations to design their products.

Oh, and an extra treat is that G-Ki is waterproof!

The Negatives:

While not immediately apparent (although I see it is clearly in the directions) you must hold down the + button for a few seconds before G-Ki will start vibrating.  I did not do this the first time and became incredibly frustrated that it wasn't starting.

Concern about the recharger. Because I had difficulty in charging it the first time, I am concerned that at the precise moment I need it to work it may conk out of batteries. It should have a plug-in option for just those moments.

A second concern is that I would have liked to have seen it ‘learn’ like the Sasi.

With a Partner:

My partner loved this toy.  He also took a few minutes to figure out how to turn it on and the curved head adjusted. But once he had it down, he loved it. He said it gave his 'crooked' finger less of a 'work-out' and he could focus on other activities

Overall:

This is hands-down the best tool to find a G-Spot I have come across. The adjustable head and contoured shape make it a winner.
